Inside Media: The History of the American Newspaper @ Knight TV Studio
Sep 8 @ 2:30 pm

Los Angeles Times columnist Patt Morrison talks about her new book, “Don’t Stop the Presses! Truth, Justice and the American Newspaper.” The book showcases the importance of newspapers, in both words and imagery, and documents the impact of the medium.
From the broadsheets of the American Revolution to the computer displays of the electronic revolution, from the age of street corner newsboys in the days of the Hearsts and Pulitzers to the advent of legitimate online news sites, Morrison’s book chronicles how newspapers are the voices of a nation.
Morrison has a share of two Pulitzer Prizes as a longtime Los Angeles Times writer and columnist. As a public television and radio broadcaster, she has won six Emmys and a dozen Golden Mike awards.
Washington Post columnist Karen Tumulty will moderate the conversation.
